Muslim Accountants have been enjoined to maintain standard, uphold morals and integrity in their professional endeavours. “ Corporate Governance Code can only be fulfilled if only the Federal Government stands its ground, if not Nigerians will continues to sideline, circumvent all the law and corruption will continue to flourish”. MTN, Nigerian’s New Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer, Modupe Kadri, urged accountant professionals to reconnect with the value system and uphold financial ethics. He advised the newly elected executives to uphold leadership traits while running the affairs of the association. He added that the way forward to ensure corporate governance is to have the fear of Allah (taqwa).
